CoffeBerryNutrim® is a natural, patent protected product, derived by special extraction technology of oats, which allows  to preserve dietary fibers, especially beta glucan.

The term dietary  fibers includes soluble and insoluble dietary fibers. Soluble  dietary fiber is found in integral grains, rye, oats, yeast,algae and  fungi. Percentage of dietery fiber in these food is relatively low and it is necessary to consume large quantities of these food to ingest enough prebiotics  (dietery  fibers). Therefore, dietery  fiber isolates and concentrates and as such are used as dietary food suplements.

Beta glucans are the most important soluble dietary  fibers-prebiotics. Beta glucane is found in bran cereals (wheat, rye, oats). Nutrim®  is derived  from oat bran using extracted and concentrated  process that activates 10% of Beta Glucan. Soluble hydrocolloid  Beta Glucan fibers absorb water from the small intenstine and form soluble gels. Soluble beta-glucans provide coronary heart diseases prvention benefits and can be dietarily beneficial for hyperlipidemic, type 2 diabetic individuals and obesity.

Nutrim® also contains insoluble fiber which is not metabolized by the digestive tract, therefore , it contributes no caloric value, a property that can be utilazed in calorie-restricted diets. Insoluble fibers cause healthy digestion and can help preventing  development of intenstinal cancer.

NUTRIM® EFFECT
Beta glucan binds to cholesterol-rich bile acid in the intestine, the bile acid are excreted rather than being reabsorbed. Liver uses  bloodcholesterol from the plasma via reverse cholesterol transport. Beta glucan also reduces intenstinal cholesterol absorption.
Nutrim® has a low glycemic index(38). GI of a food is a  degree of its glucose absorption  half hour after meals . For example, GI of potato puree is 90 and of white bread is 70. Beta glucan slows the absorption of the glucose into the plasma by maintaining a hight level of intestine viscosity. Adding beta glucan can provide a 60% reduction in glycemic index of meal.
